About the song: As cliché as it may sound, young girls increasingly face a challenge of living in a world where women continue to be exploited - sexually. And the biggest bill of goods these days that is being sold is the rationalization that as long as "we" make the decisions to put our bodies out there on display, we're somehow in control of the exploitation. I don't consider my self an activist. I am a woman. Beautiful, strong, sexy and intelligent. And this is what I know: when money and sex collide - contol is the inevitable casualty. Why? Money creates a sense of entitlement. When products, skills, or talents are marketed in a overtly provocative package - the consumer will never be satisfied with "just" the product, skill, or talent. You can apply that to any aspect of life you want. It's good advice. And this is the message I want to convey to my own daughter. And your daughter, sister, or friend. "Be proud of who you are and what you can accomplish WITH YOUR CLOTHES ON." Success is infitintely more satisfying when you don't take cheezy shortcuts to get there.
